Hey! The Love Story Continues… Looking through the lens of the “likes” culture on social media can teach us some real-life lessons if we would pause for a moment to observe. As beautiful as social media is for connection, it can also shape a false story about who we are. The culture of likes is built on opinions, and the thing about opinions is this: they change. One day you may feel celebrated, and the next, overlooked. That can make your joy depend on approval, performance, or the number of likes you receive. You start to believe lies about your self-worth based on people’s likes or lack thereof. And that is a dangerous way to live. Can I share something with you? You are who God says you are. You are loved. Your worth is not defined by likes, accolades, or validation. You are loved on days you get it right, and on days you miss the mark. This is the kind of love God offers us through Jesus Christ. He loved us first, and He invites us into a deeper relationship with Him. We just need to say “yes” to this love life with Him, and if you already have, would you push to go even deeper? Beyond the social media likes, would you step out of the “likes” and dive into “love” instead? I invite you to share this Newsletter with the people you know who could use NYTA’s message. Thank you for continuing this journey with me! With love, |

The heart symbol has become such a widely used sign in our culture of communication. Have you ever taken a moment to count how many texts or messages you send, receive, or are exposed to on a daily basis with the heart emoji inserted in it? ❤️ We use the heart emoji so much that we hardly even think about it when communicating. We now even use the two phrases “heart” and “love” interchangeably that they practically mean the same thing. So what is it about the heart that makes it so special?...
