Lovers, Not Acquaintances

The NYTA life is not just about knowledge or action; it is also about relationship.

Matthew 6:33 tells us to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, with the promise that all these things shall be added unto us. These things include food, clothing and the everyday needs of life. It is a call to prioritize God and trust Him with the rest.

But what does it mean to seek Him?

Jeremiah 29:13 says, “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”

NYTA living is not about having a casual relationship with God. It calls for intentionality and wholehearted commitment. It moves beyond simply knowing about God to genuinely wanting to and getting to know Him.

God is not interested in a relationship built solely around what we can get from Him. He desires a people who seek Him for who He is, who care about what He cares about, and who are willing to align their lives with His will.

When your posture becomes, “God, I want what You want,” you begin to understand what NYTA living is about.

God is the source of the NYTA life, and our relationship with Him is central to experiencing it.

So, are you ready to seek Him with all your heart? Get into His word, speak to Him, draw near to Him and He will draw near to you. Let the NYTA journey begin!

Have you ever stopped to thank God for the heart that keeps you alive? Every time you wake up, your heart is beating. What a gift! But beyond the physical heart is another heart we need—a heart that knows God, seeks Him, and desires an authentic relationship with Him. Recently, while studying Scripture, I found something fascinating: the heart we need to know God is a gift He is willing to give us. We don't have to figure it all out on our own. Think about these two Scriptures: “I will give...

Like a precious stone whose worth cannot be measured, Knowledge is a hidden gem we too often overlook. I never realized the depth and value of knowledge until I began to study God’s word: the Bible, which is a treasure. It is remarkable how many blessings are tied to knowledge, according to the Scriptures. All things that pertain to life and godliness are found through knowledge (2 Pet 1:3). Strength and exploits are found in knowledge (Dan. 11:32). Increased strength is found in knowledge...
