Life often comes in many different colors, shades, and prints. Sometimes it feels bright, beautiful, and straight. Sometimes it doesn’t. What then do you do? Can you still live a NYTA life on those days when things don’t go the way you imagine or picture they would? The beauty about the NYTA (Not Your Typical Anything) life, the extraordinary life in God through Christ, is that it is not based on feelings or what we see or don’t see. It is a life centered on who God is and TRUST in His unwavering and unshakeable nature. It is a life of KNOWING who He is and KNOWING who He says you are, regardless of what you may or may not be seeing or feeling. It is a life of DEPENDENCE on His strength and abilities, which are unlimited, rather than on your own limited strength and ability. The NYTA life ushers you from a life of human-ability to the life of God’s ability, regardless of the circumstances. It is a life where you don’t look like what your realities, feelings, circumstances, or society dictates that you should look or be like. Most importantly, it is a life dependent on relationship with God and it starts with SUNRRENDER. It takes relationship with God through Jesus Christ to enter the lifestyle that is fueled by God’s ability. It takes:

I knew that to be a fashion designer, I needed a way to translate the designs I had in my head into drawings on paper before I could...

When I obtained my Doctoral degree as a healthcare professional, though it was a great accomplishment that anyone should be proud of, I couldn’t help but recognize the dissatisfaction I still felt. I thought to myself: this couldn’t possibly be all there is to me. In my state of...
