The Knowledge Gem

Like a precious stone whose worth cannot be measured, Knowledge is a hidden gem we too often overlook.

I never realized the depth and value of knowledge until I began to study God’s word: the Bible, which is a treasure. It is remarkable how many blessings are tied to knowledge, according to the Scriptures. All things that pertain to life and godliness are found through knowledge (2 Pet 1:3). Strength and exploits are found in knowledge (Dan. 11:32). Increased strength is found in knowledge (Prov. 24:5). Wisdom and revelation are also in knowledge (Eph. 1:17).

What a hidden treasure!

What Knowledge are we talking about exactly? The Knowledge of God and of Jesus Christ. This Knowledge is vital to us as individuals. It is not optional but something we must desire because our identity depends on it. We don’t begin to truly live until we know who we are, and finding our identity depends on Knowing God.

Ignorance, the absence of knowledge, specifically knowledge of God, is often associated with defeat, timidity, and substandard living.

The Scriptures liken Knowledge to light. When light arrives, it dispels darkness, illuminates what was hidden, and brings clarity, understanding, and direction, to an individual. Knowledge comes through the word of God. His word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Ps. 119:105). His word leads us, guides us, directs us.

The beauty is that knowledge is taught, and God Himself teaches us through His word, revealing His nature, His promises, and our identity in Him. Being taught by the Lord brings us peace, rest, and the knowledge of who we are.

Begin to dive into the word of God. Explore it, experience it, and enjoy this precious gem of Knowledge! Your extraordinary, purpose-filled NYTA life depends on it!

Have you ever stopped to thank God for the heart that keeps you alive? Every time you wake up, your heart is beating. What a gift! But beyond the physical heart is another heart we need—a heart that knows God, seeks Him, and desires an authentic relationship with Him. Recently, while studying Scripture, I found something fascinating: the heart we need to know God is a gift He is willing to give us. We don't have to figure it all out on our own. Think about these two Scriptures: “I will give...

The NYTA life is not just about knowledge or action; it is also about relationship. Matthew 6:33 tells us to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, with the promise that all these things shall be added unto us. These things include food, clothing and the everyday needs of life. It is a call to prioritize God and trust Him with the rest. But what does it mean to seek Him? Jeremiah 29:13 says, “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” NYTA...
