A Love Story

As we gear up to celebrate Easter, one thing is on my mind: love. This season reminds us of a love story that is completely unconditional, undeserved, and unearned. It reveals the love of God, our Creator and Father, who loves us so deeply that it has nothing to do with our “performance.” There is nothing we could ever do to earn this kind of love. He gave His only Son, Jesus, to die for our sins so that we could be saved from the consequences of the sins we deserve. Through His sacrifice on the cross – His death, burial, resurrection, and ascension – we have been given direct access to God, making us perfect in His sight regardless of how imperfect we are. This Easter, I am reflecting on the blessing of being so deeply loved by God and what that love means for how He sees us and how we see ourselves.
