Today is my birthday, and as I sit here to write, I cannot help but feel deeply grateful. So much has happened in this past one year, and this birthday celebration is a very special one to me, as it marks the official launch of my initiative, NYTA – Not Your Typical Anything. NYTA is a faith-driven movement which seeks to help people overcome identity confusion and step into the extraordinary life they were created to live in Jesus Christ. On this day, I am reflecting on all the love, care, and support that I have received from my NYTA community. You have all been amazing, and I thank you. Here is a quick recap of the official launch of NYTA, that beautiful evening with family and friends where NYTA was birthed. Two milestones on this journey so far include the recent release of my music single and music video Ololufe mi, and the launch of my very first book, NYTA Not Your Typical Anything – Through the Lens of Many Hats, One Purpose Fueled by God. For my birthday, I would love for you to grab a copy of my book NYTA: Not Your Typical Anything. It would make a meaningful gift for family, friends, children, and more, one that can inspire extraordinary living for years to come. Thank you for your continued support, I am grateful and I don’t take your love and support for granted. Thank you! P.S. I send out this newsletter once weekly to help you step into the extraordinary life in Christ. I invite you to share this Newsletter with the people you know who may be encouraged by NYTA’s message. For those ready to step deeper into trust, surrender, and dependence on God... With love and gratitude, |
You were not created to be ordinary. Step into your extraordinary life with my weekly NYTA Newsletter.
What you see matters – scar or beauty, blemishes or uniqueness. It is all about perspective. Many of us carry scars that we are ashamed of. They may be physical scars, emotional scars, mental scars, or other unpleasant experiences that linger. For some, it is a past they would rather not talk about. For some, a physical scar that you have been covering or hiding from the world. For others, it could be an emotional burden you have carried for so long. In my book NYTA, I shared my personal...
Relying on one’s own ability and creativity is a recipe for living below your potential. Know the fuel that powers your extraordinary existence! A few years ago, when I got the inspiration to begin my fashion line, High + Title, formerly called OYÈ Collection, I questioned how in the world it would be a reality, considering my lack of experience in this area. I knew that to be a fashion designer, I needed a way to translate the designs I had in my head into drawings on paper before I could...
We live in a culture where we consume more than we create. Yet, each one of us has been created with unique qualities, attributes and creative gifts that -- if unleashed -- would bring flavor and joy to the world. When I obtained my Doctoral degree as a healthcare professional, though it was a great accomplishment that anyone should be proud of, I couldn’t help but recognize the dissatisfaction I still felt. I thought to myself: this couldn’t possibly be all there is to me. In my state of...
