Your mission field is wherever you find yourself. Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you’ve felt the need to keep your faith life separate from your work life? Have you avoided topics about your faith, or have you tried to minimize your faith experience to blend in or to avoid attracting attention at work? Many of us struggle with this. The truth is, when you are living fully as God has made you to be, it becomes difficult to separate your faith from the rest of your life. Your identity, your essence, and who you are flow from your knowledge of your Creator, God. And when you are truly aligned with who you are and whose you are, you realize that God has placed you in your workplace on purpose, for purpose. At work, your light can brighten the atmosphere, encourage the people around you, and even become the answer to someone else’s prayer. But if you hide that light by suppressing who you are in certain settings that may seem uncomfortable, you may miss the opportunities God has placed in front of you to let His love and light flow through you. Are you shining your light at work or are you hiding who you are? Let your light shine! Be a listening ear and a source of encouragement to that colleague who needs it. P.S.
