Watching the vision unfold

The beauty about submitting our plans and vision to God is that there is no limit to how far they can go with Him. Oftentimes, the only limit on our vision is the limit we place on it. But when we give God the open check to do whatever He wants with our plans, we are in for a ride.

Is it always going to be easy and smooth sailing? No. Far from it. In fact, there will be days where you might question how you will ever make it through. There might be days where you feel like you are going backwards instead of forward. However, rest assured that if Jesus is on that ride with you as the captain, pilot, or driver of your life's boat, plane, or car, it's all going to come to fruition at His perfect time – and it is going to be beautiful!

One day, you will look back and marvel at how far you've come, and how far He has taken you through life's hurdles to make something beautiful out of you.

This is not the time to stop, slow down, or relax. Submitting your plans does not mean you get to sit back and do nothing. Action is key, although action may look different at different times and season. Depending on the season, action may mean moving forward, adjusting your posture, or simply staying faithful where you are.

It is time to push.

Press in more for intimacy with the captain of your vision and life's boat! Submitting means letting Him take the lead, while you follow and move as He leads. Relationship and intimacy are key.

Now, let the adventure begin!

What you see matters – scar or beauty, blemishes or uniqueness. It is all about perspective. Many of us carry scars that we are ashamed of. They may be physical scars, emotional scars, mental scars, or other unpleasant experiences that linger. For some, it is a past they would rather not talk about. For some, a physical scar that you have been covering or hiding from the world. For others, it could be an emotional burden you have carried for so long. In my book NYTA, I shared my personal...

Relying on one’s own ability and creativity is a recipe for living below your potential. Know the fuel that powers your extraordinary existence! A few years ago, when I got the inspiration to begin my fashion line, High + Title, formerly called OYÈ Collection, I questioned how in the world it would be a reality, considering my lack of experience in this area. I knew that to be a fashion designer, I needed a way to translate the designs I had in my head into drawings on paper before I could...

We live in a culture where we consume more than we create. Yet, each one of us has been created with unique qualities, attributes and creative gifts that -- if unleashed -- would bring flavor and joy to the world. When I obtained my Doctoral degree as a healthcare professional, though it was a great accomplishment that anyone should be proud of, I couldn’t help but recognize the dissatisfaction I still felt. I thought to myself: this couldn’t possibly be all there is to me. In my state of...
