What is my purpose? What is the cure for the void I am feeling? Why do I feel so empty despite my accomplishments? Why do I still not feel enough? What am I missing? What am I doing wrong? How can I fill this void? Are you asking yourself any of these questions? I know I have asked myself many of the questions before. Maybe people in your circle even tell you how fierce you are and how much of a star you are, but deep down inside, you don't feel like the star people claim you are. Maybe you even feel lonely, like no one gets you. They see your outward appearance, and, to them, you are all that and more. But, why don’t you feel like what people see? As I mentioned in my book, NYTA, we all have a void that only God can fill. We are not meant to do life independent of our maker. I am not talking about religion for religion’s sake. I am talking about a surrendered life to Him, a daily walk with Him, where you have handed Him the keys to your life and made Him the only authority. It is a heart posture that says the only thing you want for yourself is what He wants for you. This is the secret to purposeful, extraordinary living, a life of fulfillment and satisfaction that is not dependent on your situation or circumstances, the NYTA life. This is how we were wired to live and operate. When we fall short of this reality, we will continue to walk around in the circles of life and constantly looking for something that is not lost. Many of us are searching for fulfillment in the wrong places, only to discover that outward success alone cannot satisfy us deeply. Are you looking to accomplishments to give you what only God can provide? P.S. I send out this newsletter once weekly to help you step into the extraordinary life in Christ. I invite you to share this Newsletter with the people you know who may be encouraged by NYTA’s message. For those ready to step deeper into trust, surrender, and dependence on God... With love and gratitude, |
You were not created to be ordinary. Step into your extraordinary life with my weekly NYTA Newsletter.
The thin line... I have shared many beautiful realities of the NYTA life—the atypical, extraordinary, purpose-filled life that is our rightful state. This life flows from knowing who we are and whose we are. Knowing is a beautiful place to live, and knowledge is powerful. Knowing God—and knowing who we are in and through Him—produces boldness and confidence. But NYTA confidence has nothing to do with our own ability; it is rooted entirely in His ability. The danger of knowledge, however, is...
Two weeks ago, I introduced you to "I am..." and last week, I shared "He is...". Our “I am…” is based on “He is…” It is dependent on it. This is because our identity is found in Him. If "I am" is dependent on "He is," then it is critical to know that He is, and to know who He is, because it's in knowing Him that you come to know your "I am," and to become the "I am" God created you to be. Knowing is key. You cannot be who you don't know you are. And you cannot know who you are if you don't...
Have you ever wondered how everything that exists came into being? Have you paused to look at creation? Take a moment to look at the everyday beauty around you…the trees, the flowers, sunlight. Picture the beauty of sunrise and the breathtaking sunset that gently creeps up in the later part of the day. One of the things in creation that baffles me is the cloud. I sometimes stare outside my window and just gaze into the sky, watching the clouds form. I can’t help but admire the various shapes...
